There are approximately 9200 ration shops in the state. These shops are allotted rice and wheat to the warehouse of the district based on the number of ration cards. Under this process of allotment of ration, the District Fulfilling Officer gives information to the Divisional Food Officer (RFC) of the monthly quota of his district.
RFC directs to issue quotas for dealers from district level warehouses. Now this whole process will be online. District Fulfillment Officer will give RFC information online for the monthly allocation of his district. RFCs will also issue instructions for allotment of ration to all warehouse charges.
For this, computer is being installed in all godowns of food and supply department in the state. Ration shops in the state are also being made online. The state government has already given approval to develop ration shops as Common Service Center (CSC).
In such a situation, the data will be available online to the department, how much rice-wheat alloted to the ration dealers and how much they distributed to card holders. With this, there is a possibility of a rigging of black marketing of ration. Food, Civil Supplies & U
